For the second time in less then 24 hours DC Firefighters were called to battle a house fire in the southeast section of the city.
Just after 7:30 this morning units from the Third Battalion were called to the 200 block of Newcomb Street for report of smoke coming from a house.
First arriving units reported smoke showing, firefighters enter the dwelling and located a fire in the walls on the top floor of a three-story dwelling.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within 15 minutes after an aggressive attack on the fire with no injuries reported.
Firefighters were called to the same house just after 5 pm on Monday for fire on the top floor, Firefighters arrived on the scene and reported heavy fire showing from the top floor of the three-story house
It took firefighters about 20 minutes to bring Monday's fire under control with no injuries reported.
The cause of both fires are still under investigation
